Casey Bernardini
Casey Bernardini is a nationally experienced advocate, leader, and speaker dedicated to combating human trafficking and supporting survivors through holistic, faith-centered recovery. She is a former Policy Advisor for the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) and has spent years working at the intersection of policy, ministry, survivor services, and prevention education.
Casey previously served as Program Director for Living Hope Safe House, a residential program in New England supporting survivors of human trafficking, where she led trauma-informed, survivor-centered care and program development. Her work also includes collaboration with Just Love Worldwide, a nonprofit organization committed to supporting individuals impacted by trafficking and exploitation while advancing education and prevention initiatives.
Casey is certified by the National Association of Christian Counselors (NACC) in Christian Counseling and integrates a holistic, faith-based approach to healing, recovery, and long-term restoration. With many years of experience in ministry and nonprofit leadership, she is an author, public speaker, recovery coach, and Celebrate Recovery facilitator.
She speaks nationally on human trafficking awareness, survivor advocacy, and prevention and has trained first responders, law enforcement, and emergency room personnel to recognize the signs of human trafficking. Casey is the author of the memoir Somebody’s Baby, which chronicles her personal journey of surviving human trafficking and emphasizes hope, healing, and restoration. She is deeply passionate about developing youth-based programs and addressing the critical needs of at-risk youth through prevention, education, and recovery-focused support.
Casey holds a degree in Business Administration from Hudson University, bringing strong leadership, organizational, and program development skills to every role she serves.
In June 2024, Casey joined Harmony Haven, where she serves as Program Director for the Holistic Recovery Center a residential facility with core mission of helping men overcome addiction, incarceration and hopelessness.

Shawn Furey
Shawn Furey is one of our Counseling Supervisors.
He facilitates one-on-one and group counseling sessions related to recovery management.
Shawn is credentialed by The State Of Maine as a Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor and as a Certified Counseling Supervisor. Shawn has worked in the behavioral health field for the past 19 years and has worked as a Substance Use Counselor for about 9 years.
Shawn has a B.A. in Psychology with a double-minor in Sociology and Philosophy and is one class away from his M.S. in Educational Psychology. Shawn is also a Veteran of the US Air Force.
Shawn got into this field of work because he wants to help people to be well and to do well in life. Shawn's view on recovery is that taking your recovery seriously means making sure that you are having good experiences in the places where you spend your time.
